After a disastrous T20I series, Indian Cricket Team are set to clash with England in a three-match ODI series. The ENG vs IND ODI series will take place on July 14, 16, and 19.
The opening clash will take place at Edgbaston on July 14, in which Shubman Gill & Co. would leave no stone unturned to outplay the hosts. England dominated India by winning the five-match T20I series 4-0, and the Men in Blue will aim for a big comeback in the 50-over campaign.
The ENG vs IND ODIs will also mark return of Virat Kohli, who will be hold key for India in the series. Kohli, who also lives in the United Kingdom (UK), has a fabulous record in English conditions and has been in stunning form since last year.
In 2025, he scored 651 runs in 13 games at an average of 65.10, with three centuries and four fifties. This year, he featured in the ODI series against New Zealand in January, smashing 240 runs in just three encounters at an average of 80.0, including a ton and a fifty.
Notably, Kohli was not part of India’s previous ODI series against Afghanistan in June. The 37-year-old was picked in the squad initially but was ruled out later due to a hamstring injury, which he sustained in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 final between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Gujarat Titans (GT) on May 31.
