Indian Cricket Team are all set to clash with Pakistan Cricket Team in Asia Cup 2025 final. The summit clash will be played on Sunday, September 28, at Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai and there’s no doubt that the spotlight will be on Indian opener Abhishek Sharma.

The left-hander has been the best batter in Asia Cup 2025 and has played a key role in India reaching the final. With his aggressive batting show and consistent performances, he has provided India with blistering starts in the entire tournament. The 25-year-old slammed three back-to-back half-centuries in the Super Four round of tournament, helping his side stay undefeated.

At a stunning average of 51.50 and a strike rate of 204.64, Abhishek has smacked 309 runs in six games in Asia Cup 2025 and is the leading run-scorer in the tournament by a far margin. The next batter on the list is Sri Lanka’s Pathum Nissanka with 261 runs, which speaks a lot about Abhishek’s performance in the tournament.

With India vs Pakistan Asia Cup 2025 final around the corner, Abhishek Sharma is on the verge of breaking Virat Kohli’s record for most runs in a T20I tournament for India. In the ICC T20 World Cup 2014, Kohli aggregated 319 runs, which is still the record for most runs by an Indian player in a T20I tournament.

Abhishek needs only 11 runs to surpass the record and with the kind of form that he is in, he is highly likely to achieve the feat in the final. Meanwhile, the Suryakumar Yadav-led side won all three matches against Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka in the Super Four round to book a berth in the final. They have been unbeaten in the campaign, winning six games in a row.

On the other hand, Pakistan crushed Sri Lanka and Bangladesh in back-to-back games after losing the first clash against India to become the second finalists of the tournament. Notably, this is the first time that India and Pakistan will clash in the Asia Cup final.
