Afghanistan and Bangladesh will play in three T20Is and three ODIs in October.
Afghanistan will host Bangladesh in six white-ball matches in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in October, right after the completion of Asia Cup 2025, which ends on September 28.
The bilateral series between Afghanistan and Bangladesh is the second leg of an all-format series that was originally scheduled for July 2024 and would have included three ODIs, three T20Is, and two test matches.
The series, which was supposed to take place in Greater Noida, India, was postponed because of bad weather and Bangladesh’s hectic schedule, and the schedule was changed to just feature white-ball matches.
After four bilateral ODI series, Bangladesh and Afghanistan have a 2-2 head-to-head record. Afghanistan won the last two series in 2023 and 2024, while Bangladesh won in 2016 and 2022. Bilateral T20I series are also even, with Afghanistan winning in 2018, Bangladesh in 2023, and 2022 ending in a draw.
