Aiden Markram hit 38 and 29 runs across both innings of the Guwahati test.
South Africa Cricket Team stunned Indian Cricket Team in the second test in Guwahati by grabbing a huge victory by 408 runs. With the win, the Temba Bavuma-led side clinched their second-ever series clean sweep in tests in India. One of the highlights of the Proteas’ win in Guwahati was their fielding with Aiden Markram being at best, breaking Ajinkya Rahane’s record for most catches taken in a single test match.
Markram failed to make a big mark with the bat, getting out for 38 and 29 in both innings. However, he and Ryan Rickelton etched an opening stand of 50-plus runs in both innings to provide a decent start.
While the Proteas T20I captain failed to take the limelight with his batting, he entertained fans with his fabulous fielding across both innings. He captured five catches in the first innings and four catches in the second innings as Indian batters lost their wickets cheaply.
