Akeem Jordan replaces injured Jeremiah Louis in WI squad for third test against England at Edgbaston

Akeem Jordan is yet to make his test debut for the West Indies cricket team.
In a significant blow to the West Indies cricket team, pacer Jeremiah Louis has been ruled out of the third and final test against hosts England in the ongoing three-match series due to a hamstring injury, Cricket West Indies (CWI) announced in a statement.
Louis, who was on the bench in the first two tests, picked up the injury during the second match at Trent Bridge. The Caribbean pacer will remain with the squad for treatment on his injury.

Uncapped pacer Akeem Jordan has replaced injured Louis in the West Indies squad for the third test against the Ben Stokes-led England cricket team. The final match of the ongoing series will be played at Edgbaston, Birmingham from July 26 to July 30.
Jordan, who had been playing cricket in the United Kingdom, has already joined the squad and will take part in Wednesday’s training session at Edgbaston ahead of the final test against the hosts.
Akeem Jordan has played 19 First-Class (FC) games in which he scalped 67 wickets at an average of 24.10. The 29-year-old pacer has picked two five-wicket hauls in his FC career till now. He is yet to make his test debut for the West Indies.
Other than Akeem Jordan, West Indies have Alzarri Joseph, Shamar Joseph, Jayden Seales and all-rounder Jason Holder as their pace-bowling options in the squad for the final test against the Three Lions.
The visitors are 2-0 down in the three-match test series against England. West Indies lost the first match by an innings and 114 runs at Lord’s and then suffered a crushing defeat by 241 runs at Trent Bridge in the second game.
