All Australia players who will participate in PSL 2026

Multan Sultans have five Australians in their squad for PSL 2026.
The Pakistan Super League has long been a second-choice option for overseas players, due to a clash with the world’s biggest T20 league, the Indian Premier League.
The 2026 season will see a similar trend, with most of the renowned global T20I stars playing in the IPL. The likes of Travis Head, Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood, Mitchell Marsh, and many others from Australia will lead their respective teams in India.
On the other hand, several Australian players are set to play in the PSL for different reasons. Here we take a look at the complete list of Aussies set to feature in PSL 2026, with the competition slated to begin from March 27.
13 Australian players to play in PSL 2026-
Sam Harper
Sam Harper had a sensational BBL; he smashed 371 runs at an average of 61.83 and a 155.23 strike rate for Melbourne Stars. This inspired his PSL selection, and he joins Quetta Gladiators. However, he will arrive late due to a clash with the Australian Sheffield Shield final.
Ben McDermott
Ben McDermott played for Karachi Kings in PSL 2025 and will play for Quetta Gladiators this season. McDermott is a dashing top-order batter who hopes to make his impact felt in PSL.
Aaron Hardie

Aaron Hardie is a replacement for Rahmanullah Gurbaz, who withdrew from the competition. Hardie is set to make his PSL debut for Peshawar Zalmi. Last year, he briefly played for Punjab Kings in the IPL but failed to make an impact.
Peter Siddle
At 41, Peter Siddle continues to play franchise cricket. A regular in the BBL, Siddle will feature for Multan Sultans in PSL 2026 after being sold for a whopping PKR 2.2 Crore. His impressive performance in the BBL, where he took 16 wickets in 11 matches, shows that age is just a number.
Steve Smith

Steve Smith was an IPL commentator in 2025, but will now play PSL this year. The Aussie hopes to return to the T20 squad, with his main ambitions being to play at the 2028 Olympic Games. After going unsold in the IPL 2026 auction, Smith registered for the PSL and will make his debut for Multan Sultans.
Lachlan Shaw
Rising Australian sensation Lachlan Shaw is just 23 years old and is making rapid progress as a middle-order batter. Multan Sultans showed faith in him by signing him up for the new season, but it will be tough for Shaw to feature in the playing XI.
Ashton Turner
Ashton Turner will lead Multan Sultans after a poor season in 2025. The tall hitting all-rounder played just three matches for the team last year and scored only 15 runs.
Josh Philippe

Josh Philippe joins Multan Sultans for his PSL debut. With a strong domestic performance under his belt, the wicket-keeper from Australia will look to help his team win the title.
David Warner

David Warner will once again captain Karachi Kings, having made his tournament debut last year, where he scored 368 runs in 11 matches at a strike rate of 153.97. Warner was one of the most expensive buys at the auction, fetching a massive PKR 79 million.
Max Bryant
Max Bryant played for Peshawar Zalmi in 2025 and will now play for Islamabad United in 2026. Bryant had scored 49 runs in five innings with an average of just 16.3. Having failed to set the stage on fire in the previous season, Bryant will look to deliver this time around for Islamabad.
Riley Meredith
Riley Meredith will make his second PSL appearance in 2026, after representing Islamabad United last year. The Aussie played four matches and picked four wickets, at an average of 31 and an economy of 8.9.
Marnus Labuschagne

Marnus Labuschagne is far away from even being considered for a spot in the Australian T20I squad, but finds himself appointed as Hyderabad Kingsmen’s captain for the PSL 2026 edition.
This marks Labuschagne’s debut in the competition, as he will look to deliver with both bat and ball and grab this opportunity with both hands.
Glenn Maxwell

By far the most surprising name for this year’s PSL is Glenn Maxwell. The Australian all-rounder has been IPL’s most sought-after player year after year, despite middling returns. Maxwell ended a 13-year-long streak by opting out of IPL this year, and instead signing up with Hyderabad Kingsmen at PSL.
Ahead of IPL 2026 mini-auction, the Punjab Kings released him. After this, he decided not to play in the IPL this year and instead play in the PSL.
