Zaheer Khan to lead CSK as new head coach for IPL 2027.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have parted ways with six members of their coaching and support staff ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2027) season.

The list includes head coach Stephen Fleming, batting coach Michael Hussey, bowling coach Eric Simons and three more.

The changes come as Chennai Super Kings look to improve after three disappointing IPL seasons. The five-time champions last won the title in 2023, and since then, they have failed to qualify for the playoffs. They finished fifth in 2024, tenth in 2025 and eighth in 2026.

Chennai have also appointed former India pacer Zaheer Khan as their new head coach, replacing Stephen Fleming. After spending several years with the Chennai franchise, Fleming has now moved on to take charge of the England Test team.

The coaching changes are part of CSK’s plans to build a balanced team and bounce back strongly in IPL 2027. Below are the names of coaches released by Chennai Super Kings.

Here are the coaches released by CSK ahead of IPL 2027
