Meanwhile, the South Zone put up a one-sided performance against the North Zone. Captain Tilak Varma played a pivotal role in the success; he scored a century in the first innings and a half-century in the second.
Their squad has also been strengthened further by the inclusion of Mohammed Siraj and Devdutt Padikkal. Both these players recently featured in India’s Test series against Sri Lanka.
