MI London have won all most number of titles in The Hundred Men’s competition.

Amid the greatest evolutions in cricket history, an entire generation has built a reputation around limiting the game to its shortest format. Starting with the 20-over format, cricket has evolved to its newer limits, where players are challenged to put on a show within a faster-paced format.

Launched by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) in 2021, The Hundred marked an innovative approach to the game, which was an attempt to modernise the game and attract global audiences. The game features two innings with 100 balls per innings, and the number of balls is kept track of throughout the innings.

The Hundred was inaugurated back in 2021 by the ECB with double-headers per day showcasing both men’s and women’s matches. The competition includes eight teams that injected a fresh energy into the British Summer sporting calendar. The eight participating teams are Birmingham Phoenix, London Spirit, Manchester Super Giants, Trent Rockets, Welsh Fire, Sunrisers Leeds, MI London and Southern Brave.

In its inaugural season in 2021, the tournament set a very high benchmark and delivered some dramatic finishes, which etched its name among globally renowned leagues across the world.

The first-ever final of The Hundred was played at the iconic venue of Lord’s, with the Southern Brave registering a groundbreaking victory over Birmingham Phoenix by a margin of 32 runs.

Entering its sixth season since its inauguration, the franchises were taken over by Indian sports giants. With the Sanjiv Goenka group taking over the Manchester Originals, now known as Manchester Super Giants, they went on to win the latest season of The Hundred. The Super Giants registered a comfortable five-wicket victory over the Trent Rockets to win their first-ever title in The Hundred.
