Ambati Rayudu to contest in elections?
As per the few reports in local media, Ambati Rayudu will be trying his luck as a politician in the coming few months. He has met with the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh several times in recent months and has been in talks with him to join Andhra Pradesh’s ruling party YSRCP. Media reports have also suggested that Rayudu will be getting a ticket to contest the election either from Machilipatnam or Guntur Lok Sabha seat. If not Parliament, Rayudu might also be given a ticket to contest the assembly election in either Krishna or Guntur district. Andhra Pradesh legislative elections and Parliament elections will take place next year in April-May.
Earlier Ambati Rayudu praised Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. Talking about Andhra CM Rayudu said, “CM Jagan Mohan Reddy is a big inspiration for youngsters entering politics. He is spearheading development in all the regions instead of concentrating on one area”. According to a report in Times of India, Sources have suggested that the senior leadership in YSRCP has told Rayudu to pick up Ponnur or Guntur West. From Cricket, Gautam Gambhir is currently the Member of Parliament from East Delhi. Manoj Tiwari is part of the Bengal Legislative Assembly. Navjot Singh Sidhu lost his election from Amritsar East last year in Punjab Legislative Elections.
