Ambati Rayudu to play for Texas Super Kings in the MLC 2023

Devon Conway and David Miller will also be the part of Texas Super Kings setup for the inaugural edition of MLC.

The CSK owned Texas Super Kings have announced their squad for the upcoming Major Cricket League tournament in the United States of America. MLC will begin on 13th July. The Texas Super Kings will be playing in the competition with 4 current members of the Chennai Super Kings. Along with opener Ambati Rayudu, Texas have included Devon Conway, Dwayne Bravo, and Mitchell Santner for the tournament. A total of 6 teams will be taking part in Major League Cricket. Along with CSK’s sister franchise Texas Super Kings, MI’s sister franchise MI New York, and Knight Riders' sister franchise Los Angeles Knight Riders will be taking part in the league. 

Apart from 4 CSK players, Texas Super Kings have also included David Miller, Daniel Sams, and Gerald Coetzee have been included in the team. TSK will also have former Pakistani international Sami Aslam in their camp. Former South African T20 specialist bowler Rusty Theron will also be playing for TSK. Rusty Theron is now a US international and represents the United States in international cricket. Texas will be Super Kings' third sister franchise. Along with Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League, they also have Johannesburg Super Kings team in the SA20 and Texas Super Kings in Major League Cricket. 

CSK’s Ambati Rayudu announced his retirement after winning his 6th IPL title. Rayudu was part of CSK since 2018 and won the title thrice with CSK. Devon Conway had scored 672 runs for CSK in the IPL 2023. Conway will have a crucial role for TSC in the tournament. The first-ever game of Major League Cricket will be hosted among Texas Super Kings and Los Angeles Knight Riders at Grand Prairie Stadium in Texas. MLC is a step taken to increase the business and popularity of Cricket in the United States.
