Arjun Tendulkar, son of Sachin Tendulkar, gets engaged to Saaniya Chandok- Reports

Arjun Tendulkar and Saaniya Chandok are childhood friends.

Son of cricket legend and former India captain Sachin Tendulkar, Arjun Tendulkar is engaged to Saaniya Chandok, granddaughter of well-known Mumbai industrialist Ravi Ghai. Close friends and relatives from both sides attended the private engagement.

Arjun is a 25-year-old left-arm fast-bowling all-rounder who has played for the Mumbai Indians (MI) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and for Mumbai and Goa in domestic cricket. In the 2020–21 season, he made his debut in a Twenty20 match against Haryana, marking the start of his domestic career with Mumbai.

Prior to that, he played junior cricket for Mumbai and was selected for the India U19 team. He relocated to Goa for the 2022–2023 season, where he made his List A and first-class debuts.

Arjun Tendulkar has 532 runs and 37 wickets in 17 FC matches with one century and two fifties. He played 17 games for Goa in List A cricket, scoring 76 runs in nine innings. He bowled 73 deliveries and took three wickets at an average of 38.00 in five IPL games while playing for the MI, with his best stats being 1/9.

Saaniya comes from one of the most well-known business families in Mumbai and is renowned for maintaining a low public profile. The InterContinental hotel and the well-known ice cream company Brooklyn Creamery are owned by the Ghai family, who have a significant influence in the food and hospitality sectors.

As to the Ministry of Corporate Affairs’ official records, Saaniya Chandok is a director and designated partner at Mr. Paws Pet Spa & Store LLP, which is situated in Mumbai.

The chairman of Graviss Hospitality Ltd., a family-run business with a strong history in the ice cream and hospitality industries, is Ravi Iqbal Ghai. He is the son of the man who created the famous Kwality Ice Cream brand and the InterContinental hotel on Marine Drive in Mumbai, Iqbal Krishan “IK” Ghai.
