Arshdeep Singh achieved the feat during the clash against Oman in Asia Cup 2025.

Indian Cricket Team took on Oman in their last group stage game of the ongoing Asia Cup 2025 on Friday, 19th September. The clash took place at Abu Dhabi’s Sheikh Zayed Stadium, which saw India getting the best fight so far in the tournament.

After winning the toss and opting to bat first, India put 188 on the scoreboard. Opener Shubman Gill failed to make a mark with the bat, losing his wicket for just five runs. However, Abhishek Sharma scored a blistering knock of 38 runs off 15 deliveries, while Sanju Samson (56), who batted at three, hammered a half-century. Axar Patel (26) Tilak Varma (29) scored crucial runs as India piled up 188/8. For Oman, Shah Faisal, Jiten Ramanandi, and Aamir Kaleem clinched two wickets each.

India’s defense didn’t start well as Oman openers Jatinder Singh and Aamir Kaleem etched a partnership of 56 runs. Later, after Jatinder (32) got out, Kaleem (64) then added a 93-run stand with Hammad Mirza, who scored a half-century. At one stage, it even looked like Oman might pull off an upset in their first ever encounter against India in T20Is.

However, Indian bowlers defended the total and helped the side register a win by 21 runs.
