The deal didn’t happen between Punjab and Mumbai but Veteran Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin revealed on his YouTube channel, “One person working in MI told me that MI always look up to CSK as their competition. They try to win 2 more games than CSK and they will go to any extent for that. Once they asked Miller from us. We asked which player you would give, they replied ‘how much ever money you want.”

In a fresh development, Mumbai Indians approached Delhi Capitals for trading Kuldeep Yadav or Mitchell Marsh for an all-cash trade deal. Delhi Capitals reportedly denied the trade deal. Mumbai Indians were recently involved in a historical trade deal with Gujarat Titans skipper Hardik Pandya who won the title in 2022 and took them to one more finals in the previous season in IPL 2023.

Mumbai Indians brought in Hardik Pandya from Gujarat Titans in an all-cash 15-crore deal. They had to trade all-rounder Cameron Green from their camp to RCB. MI bought Cameron Green for a whopping 17.50 crore rupees in IPL 2023 auction in Kochi. Cameron Green had a wonderful maiden IPL season with Mumbai Indians in IPL 2023 and took them to playoffs with a century in a crucial game against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
