Asia Cup 2025: India's first practice session in Dubai to take place on this date

India will play their first match of Asia Cup 2025 against UAE on September 10.

Indian Cricket Team are gearing up for Asia Cup 2025, which will commence on September 9 in United Arab Emirates (UAE). According to reports by Revsportz, India will conduct their first practice session in Dubai on September 5. It is learned tha the Suryakumar Yadav-led side will reach Dubai on 4th September.

The reports also revealed that Pakistan will hold five practice sessions and two practice games ahead of their T20I Tri Series and Asia Cup 2025. Pakistan will conduct two practice games on August 22 and 25 in Dubai.

From August 29 to September 7, they will play a T20I Tri Series against Afghanistan and UAE. Notably, eight teams are part of Asia Cup 2025. India, Pakistan, UAE, and Oman are part of Group A. Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, and Hong Kong are placed in Group B in the tournament.

India to play their first game in Asia Cup 2025 on September 10

India will play their first match in Asia Cup 2025 against UAE. The clash will take place on September 10 at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Later, the Men in Blue will clash with their arch-rivals Pakistan on September 14 in Dubai. Their last game of the group stage is scheduled against Oman on September 19 in Abu Dhabi.

Notably, India are the defending champions of the tournament. On Tuesday (August 19), Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the 15-member squad for Asia Cup 2025. Suryakumar Yadav will lead the team in the tournament.

Senior members like Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, Shubman Gill, and Kuldeep Yadav are part of India squad for the tournament. Players like Shreyas Iyer, Mohammed Siraj, and Yashasvi Jaiswal could not find a place in the squad.

Pakistan have named a 17-member squad that will be led by Salman Ali Agha. Meanwhile, Asia Cup 2025 final will take place in Dubai on September 28. Dubai and Abu Dhabi are the two venues for the tournament.
