Asia Cup 2025: Most runs, most wickets after match 8, SL vs HK

Match 8 of Asia Cup 2025, SL vs HK, took place at Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
Sri Lanka defeated Hong Kong by four wickets in the eighth match of Asia Cup 2025 on Monday, September 15. The Charith Asalanka-led side chased down the 150-run target, with opener Pathum Nissanka scoring 68, and Wanindu Hasaranga hitting a quickfire 20 runs in the end.
Earlier in the game, Sri Lanka won the toss and opted to bowl first in the match. Hong Kong opener Anshuman Rath scored 48 runs to provide a good start. He and Zeeshan Ali (23) piled up an opening stand of 41 runs to lay the platform for a big score.
Batting at four, Nizakat Khan (52*) slammed a brilliant half-century to drive the team’s scoreboard to 149/4. For Sri Lanka, Dushmantha Chameera clinched two wickets, while Wanindu Hasaranga and Dasun Shanaka clinched one wicket each.

Sri Lanka opener Pathun Nissanka, who scored 68 runs in the encounter, has become the leading run-scorer of Asia Cup 2025 with 118 runs. With his half-century in the clash, Hong Kong’s Nizakat Khan grabs the second spot with 94 runs.
UAE skipper Muhammed Waseem (88) and Bangladesh captain Litton Das (87) capture the third and fourth spots, respectively. Afghanistan’s Sediqullah Atal and UAE’s Alishan Sharafu are next on the list with 73 runs each.
