India defeated Oman by 21 runs in their last group game of Asia Cup 2025.

Indian Cricket Team finished the league stage of Asia Cup 2025 undefeated as they beat Oman in their last match. The Suryakumar Yadav-led side completed a brilliant 21-run win at the Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Friday.

India had a poor start to their innings as Shubman Gill bagged another low score in the tournament. However, Abhishek Sharma (38) batted in his usual aggressive way and gave another brutal start to the Indian innings.

He along with Sanju Samson (56), who was promoted to three, added 66 runs for the second wicket. The keeper-batter cashed on the start that he had and slammed a vital fifty, batting till the 18th over.

Axar Patel (26) and Tilak Varma (29) also played valuable hands as India posted 188/8. For Oman, Shah Faisal, Jiten Ramanandi and Aamir Kaleem bagged two wickets each.

Oman had a brilliant start to their chase with skipper Jatinder Singh (32) and Aamir Kaleem adding 56 runs for the opening partnership. After that, Kaleem slammed a brilliant fifty as Oman put Indian bowlers under pressure.

Hammad Miraz (51), who scored a fifty, added 93 runs for the second wicket with Kaleem. But Indian bowlers made a strong comeback in the last few overs. Although, they didn’t take as many wickets as they would’ve wanted, they restricted run flow. Oman managed 167 as India won the game by 21 runs.
