India crushed the UAE by nine wickets in match 2 of Asia Cup 2025.
India started their campaign in Asia Cup 2025 on a dominating note as they crushed the United Arab Emirates (UAE) by nine wickets. The match took place at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai on Wednesday and saw Indian dominance written all over it.
With the kind of start the UAE had, it seemed that they would get a big total on the board. However, that wasn’t the case as Indian bowlers were all over the opposition. After being asked to bat first, Alishan Sharafu (22) and Muhammad Waseem (19) added a quick-fire 26 runs for the opening partnership.
After that, it was all about India as Jasprit Bumrah provided the first breakthrough, and then Kuldeep Yadav took the onus on himself, picking four wickets. Shivam Dube also bagged three scalps as the UAE got all out for 57 runs inside 14 overs.

In the chase, Abhishek Sharma (30) set the tone right from the start. He slammed six on the first ball and then followed it up with a four on the second ball. At the other end, Shubman Gill (20*) also batted with the same mindset as the UAE came under massive pressure.
The duo added 48 for the partnership inside four overs. Gill remained unbeaten, while Suryakumar Yadav had a good time in the middle as India won the game inside five overs with nine wickets in hand.

After the opening game of Group A in Asia Cup 2025, India are at top of the group A points table, while the UAE slipped to last. Pakistan and Oman are yet to open their account.
In Group B, Afghanistan are at the top following their win over Hong Kong, who are last. Bangladesh and Sri Lanka are yet to play games.
