Asia Cup 2025: Updated points table, most runs, most wickets after match 3, BAN vs HK

Asia Cup 2025 was host to Bangladesh vs Hong Kong on Thursday (11th September).
Bangladesh started Asia Cup 2025 on a high as they thrashed Hong Kong by seven wickets at the Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Thursday. They looked solid with the bat and ball and bagged two important points.
Hong Kong didn’t have a great start to their innings as they lost Anshuman Rath in the second over itself. After that, Babar Hayat perished early as well, and Hong Kong was left reeling at two 30 inside five overs.
However, after that, Zeeshan Ali (30) and Nizakat Khan (42) added 41 runs for the third wicket that brought their team back in the game. Skipper Yasim Murtaza (28) added firepower to the innings as Hong Kong posted a total of 143 for seven.
For Bangladesh, Rishad Hossain, Taskin Ahmed and Tanzim Hasan Sakib bagged two wickets each.
In the chase, Bangladesh had a decent start, but both the openers in Parvez Hossain Emon (19) and Tanzid Hasan Tamim (14), couldn’t go big. They lost their wickets in quick succession as Bangladesh were reduced to 47 for two inside the power play.
However, skipper Litton Das (59) and Towhid Hridoy (35*) put on an exhibition of high-class batting and outplayed the opposition. They added 95 runs for the partnership as Bangladesh chased the target with over two overs to spare.

In Group B, Afghanistan are at the top with two points, with Bangladesh at second with the same number of points. Hong Kong have lost both their games and are last, while Sri Lanka are yet to play a game.
India are at the top of Group A, while the UAE are last. Pakistan and Oman are yet to play games.

Sediquallah Atal is the leading run-getter in the Asia Cup 2025 with 73 runs. Bangladesh skipper Litton Das is at second spot after he played a solid knock of 59 runs vs Hong Kong. Azmatullah Omarzai (53) , Babar Hayat (53) and Yasim Murtaza (44) are next.
