Asia Cup 2025 will be played from September 9 to 28 in the UAE.

The Asian Cricket Council (ACC), on Saturday, July 26, announced the full schedule of Asia Cup 2025. Asia Cup 2025 will be played in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and will commence on September 9. The tournament, which will be played in T20I format, will see the final on September 28.

A total of eight teams โ€“ India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Hong Kong, UAE, and Oman will participate in the tournament.

The tournament will first see group stage, where India, Pakistan, UAE, and Oman will be part of group A, while group B consists Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Hong Kong. In the group stage, each team will face the other three teams once and the top two teams from both groups will make it to Super Four, where all teams will face the other three teams once.

The top two teams in Super Four points table will battle in the final, which will take place on September 28.

The much-anticipated encounter between arch-rivals India and Pakistan will take place on September 14. Moreover, if both teams qualify for the Super Four round, they will face each other again. If they both make it to the finals, they might even face each other in three encounters.

India will begin their journey in the tournament on September 10 with a clash against UAE. Later, they will face Pakistan on September 14. The Men In Blue will face Oman on September 19 in their last match of the group stage.

However, the ACC hasnโ€™t confirmed the venues and timings of Asia Cup 2025 yet, which is expected to be announced soon.

Notably, in the aftermath of the Pahalgam terror attack and Operation Sindoor, tensions arose between India and Pakistan. There were also rumours of India pulling out of the Asia Cup 2025. There has been a continuous public demand to shut all cricketing ties with Pakistan.
