After all the controversies, contentions, and debates, the Asia Cup 2025 has got the green signal. As per the reports in Cricbuzz, it is learned that the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) is all set to release the schedule of the tournament.

The reports claimed that the schedule of the Asia Cup 2025 will be announced within the next 24-48 hours, if not as early as Saturday (July 26). The decision related to the tournament was taken during the recent meeting of the ACC in Dhaka.

There were also a lot of issues over the meeting. This is because of the geopolitical situation and diplomatic strain between India’s western and eastern neighbours – Pakistan and Bangladesh. However, the meeting took place as per the schedule, and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) members joined it through online mode.

It is learned that the ACC will be releasing the schedule in two phases. The partial one will he announced on Saturday, with the rest likely on Monday. The reported schedule sees the tournament taking place from September 10 to 28.

The tournament will be played in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, with the BCCI being the hosts of the tournament. The governing body is working on the final dates of the tournament but it is expected that it will be played in the second and third week of September.

After the ACC meeting, the future of the tournament was in the hands of the BCCI. However, they informed ACC members that a few loose ends with commercial partners needed to be tied up before finalising the tournament. But they soon will be releasing the schedule via the official ACC platform.

The Asia Cup 2025 will see eight teams taking part in it in India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Hong Kong, UAE and Oman. A total of 19 games will be taking place in the tournament, and India and Pakistan will be placed in the same group.
