Pakistan beat Bangladesh in their last game of the Super Four and will now face India in the final of the Asia Cup 2025.

Pakistan Cricket Team registered their second win of the Super Four round of Asia Cup 2025 to book their berth in the final of the tournament, where they will face Indian Cricket Team. They beat the Bangladesh Cricket Team by 11 runs at the Dubai International Stadium in Dubai on Thursday.

Pakistan came under pressure right from the start and things looked worse for them with Bangladesh bowlers asserting their authority. Inside 11 overs, Pakistan were reduced to 49/5 with all the key top and middle-order batters back in the hut.

Shaheen Afridi (19), who walked out to bat at seven, tried to up the ante and his short innings provided much-needed momentum to his team. Mohammad Haris (31), who was the top run-getter in the innings, along with Mohammad Nawaz (25) then added 38 runs for the seventh wicket after Shaheen’s wicket, making sure that the team goes past 100 runs on a wicket that seemed tough to bat.

A vital hand of unbeaten 14 by Faheem Ashraf powered Pakistan to 135/8. For Bangladesh, Taskin Ahmed picked three wickets, while Mahedi Hasan and Rishad Hossain took two scalps each.

Bangladesh had a torrid start with the bat as well with Parvez Hossain Emon bagging a two-ball duck and perishing in the first over. Shaheen Afridi, who picked the first wicket, removed Towhid Hridoy as well and that opened the floodgates for Bangladesh.

The batters had themselves to blame too as they played some rash shots with Pakistan spinners troubling them with their lines and lengths. With the team struggling at 73 for six, Shamim Hossain (30) kept his team in the hunt with his innings.

But Shaheen continued having a great day and removed him in the 17th over to return with the figures of 3/17. Haris Rauf, who took three wickets then picked up wickets quickly in the end as Pakistan restricted Bangladesh to 124 for nine to win the game by 11 runs.
