Indian Cricket Team are set to clash with Afghanistan in a one-off test match. The encounter will be played from June 6 to 10 at Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in New Chandigarh.
Shubman Gill is set to lead the India, which also comprises key members like KL Rahul, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Mohammed Siraj, Rishabh Pant, and Kuldeep Yadav.
A few uncapped players like Manav Suthar, Harsh Dubey, and Gurnoor Brar have also been added to the squad, while Devdutt Padikkal has made a comeback to the Test team. After the one-off test, India and Afghanistan will also lock horns in three ODIs.

Jammu & Kashmir pacer Auqib Nabi has been added to India’s squad as a back-up player. As per a report by Mohsin Kamal of KSportswatch, Auqib Nabi has been added as a back-up player to gain first-hand experience of the Indian team environment. He is expected to play in India’s upcoming test tours.
The right-arm pacer impressed with his performance in the Ranji Trophy earlier this year, leading his Jammu & Kashmir to their maiden title. They defeated Karnataka in the final to script history. Nabi finished as the tournament’s highest wicket-taker with 60 scalps at an average of 12.65.
He clinched five-wicket hauls for Jammu & Kashmir in the quarter-finals, semi-finals, and the final. Recently, he was part of the Delhi Capitals in IPL 2026.
Nabi is yet to play his first international match but is expected to get opportunities after his brilliant show in domestic cricket. He owns a fabulous record in first-class cricket, clinching 156 wickets in 41 games at an average of 18.37.
