The first Test is scheduled to run from August 13 to 17, while the second Test will be played in Mackay from August 22 to 26. The series is part of the ICC World Test Championship 2025-27 cycle.
The start of the tour didn’t go as planned for the visitors. They were hammered by an innings and 38 runs in the warm-up game against Cricket Australia XI, where they were bowled out for just 54 runs in the second innings. Moreover, Litton Das has been cleared to play the first Test after recovering from a calf injury.
Najmul Hossain Shanto will captain Bangladesh, while Pat Cummins will lead Australia. Australia have also announced their playing XI. Josh Hazlewood has returned, and Cameron Green and Beau Webster have been included in the team.
