Australia have now made one change to their XI for the second Test, with Matthew Renshaw coming into the side. He has been recalled to the Test team after more than three years away from the format. The left-hander will open the innings alongside Travis Head after Jake Weatherald was dropped following a difficult outing in Darwin.
Weatherald scored 23 and 0 in the first Test and struggled to make an impact at the top of the order. Australia will hope that Renshaw can provide greater stability against Bangladesh’s bowling attack. The match will also be important for both teams in context of ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2025-27.
