AUS vs ENG: Live streaming details, when and where to watch 1st test of The Ashes 2025-26

The first AUS vs ENG test will be played from November 21 at the Optus Stadium, Perth.
The first match of The Ashes 2025-26 between Australian Cricket Team and England Cricket Team will be played at the Optus Stadium in Perth from November 22 (Friday). While Ben Stokes will have the reins of visitors England, hosts Australia will be led by stand-in captain Steve Smith in the absence of Pat Cummins.
The hosts have been heavily hampered by a few injury concerns. To begin with, Cummins was not able to recover from his back injury ahead of the opening game and is expected to return in the second test. Josh Hazlewood and Sean Abbott sustained injuries during the Sheffield Shield 2025-26 and were ruled out just a week ahead of the Perth test.
Australia will see Jake Weatherald and Brendan Doggett make their test debut during the first test in Perth. Mitchell Starc and Scott Boland will lead the team’s pace attack, while Nathan Lyon will have the responsibility of the spin department.
On the other hand, England have prominent pacers like Gus Atkinson, Jofra Archer, Mark Wood, and Brydon Carse in their side. Zak Crawley, Ben Duckett, Ollie Pope, Joe Root, and Harry Brook form a dominating batting unit for the visitors.
Notably, England have a dismal record in The Ashes in Australia, with their last victory coming a long time back in 2010. Since 2018, Australia have retained the Ashes urn and England have a challenging task to steal the trophy from the hosts, who are well known for their supremacy at home.
Australia have an edge against England in head-to-head records in tests, winning 152 games and losing 112 matches out of 361 encounters.
