Australia won the toss and elected to field first in the third T20I against South Africa.

The Australian cricket Team are locking horns with the South African Cricket Team in the third game of the T20I series. The final game of the T20I series between the teams is taking place at Cazaly’s Stadium in Cairns on Saturday (16th August).

Australian players stole the limelight after they were seen wearing the black armbands. This made many wonder as to why the Mitchell Marsh-led side is seen donning the bands.

The reason behind that has been revealed now. Australian players are wearing the black armbands to pay their tribute to the former test captain and coach of the side, Bob Simpson, who passed away on Saturday at the age of 89.

Bob Simpson played a massive role in the success of Australia after they struggled in the early 1970s. He was one of the finest captains to have captained Australia. Also, a minute of silence was observed to honour the passing of Bob Simpson.
