Pat Cummins ruled out, Mitchell Marsh to lead as Australia announce ODI squad for India series

Australia will host India in a three-match ODI series from October 19 to 25.
Cricket Australia (CA) on Tuesday, 7th October, announced Australian Cricket Team squad for the ODI series against Indian Cricket Team. Captain Pat Cummins has been ruled out of the series as he is under recovery from lumbar bone stress. In his absence, Mitchell Marsh will lead the 15-member squad in the ODI series.
Uncapped ODI batter Matthew Renshaw has been added to the squad. Pacer Mitchell Starc, who announced his retirement from T20I last month, has returned for the ODI series against India. Mitchell Owen is another uncapped player who has earned his maiden ODI call-up.
Owen and Renshaw are expected to make their ODI debuts against India. The squad also saw all-rounder Matthew Short make his comeback to the ODI side. Wicket-keeper Alex Carey, who has been added to the squad, will miss the first ODI in Perth to play for South Australia in the Sheffield Shield.

Meanwhile, the first ODI between Australia and India will take place in Perth on October 19. The second ODI will be played in Adelaide on October 23, while the third ODI will take place on October 25 in Sydney. Later, the two sides will lock horns in a five-match T20I series.
India have also announced their squad for the ODI series against Australia. Shubman Gill has been named as captain of the side, replacing Rohit Sharma.
