Australia Schedule for ICC T20 World Cup 2026, Fixtures, Dates, Venues

Australia will play their first game of ICC T20 World Cup 2026 against Ireland.
ICC T20 World Cup 2026 schedule was announced by the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Tuesday, November 25. The mega event will be taking place in India and Sri Lanka from 7 February to 8 March.
Just like the last edition, ICC T20 World Cup 2026 will see 20 teams taking part it. A total of four groups will have five teams each in the league stage. Following that, it will be time for the Super Eight stage, where the eight top teams from the group stage (2 from each group) will be divided into two groups.
The top two teams from each Super Eight groups will advance to the semi-finals followed by the finals. One of the favourites entering the clash will be the Australian Cricket Team, who will be captained by Mitchell Marsh.
Australia, who won ICC T20 World Cup in 2021, faced a big setback in the last edition. They failed to qualify for the semi-finals, but this time around they would be keen to extend their dominance in this format as well and register their second title win.

Australia are placed in Group B of ICC T20 World Cup 2026. They have been placed along with Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, Ireland, and Oman. They surely will be one of the hot favourites to go into the Super Eight stage from this group.
Australia will open their campaign against Ireland on 11 February in Colombo, and after that they will take on Zimbabwe on 13 February in Colombo. They will then move to Kandy to take on Sri Lanka on 16 February and then will lock horns with Oman in their last league game on 20 February.
