Australia schedule for ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2024 - Timings, dates, venues and all you need to know

Australia will enter the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 as the defending champions.

Australia will look to win a fourth consecutive women’s T20 world title in the upcoming ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024. They have a new captain, Alyssa Healy, to lead the side after the retirement of Meg Lanning last year.

Australia have won the last three women’s T20 World Cups. Last year, they beat South Africa in the final in Cape Town to clinch the title.

This will also be the first time that the Australian women’s team will play in the UAE. The ICC shifted the tournament from Bangladesh to the UAE owing to the ongoing political crisis in Bangladesh. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) have retained the hosting rights.

The 10-team tournament will be played from October 3 to 20 in Dubai and Sharjah. The 10 teams are grouped into two groups of five each. The top two sides from each group will proceed to the semi-finals.

Australia are placed in Group A along with India, New Zealand, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

Group B: South Africa, England, West Indies, Bangladesh, Scotland

Australia schedule for ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024:

Australia will kick off their title defence on October 5 against Sri Lanka in Sharjah. Their next encounter will be against New Zealand on October 8, also in Sharjah. They will then travel Dubai to take on Pakistan on October 11 before returning to Sharjah to meet India on October 13.
