Australia and Pakistan will lock horns in three T20I games.
The Australian Cricket Team are set to square off with the Pakistan Cricket Team in a T20I series. Both sides will clash in three T20I games, which will act as a platform to prepare for the ICC T20 World Cup 2026.
Australia’s tour of Pakistan 2026 will commence on January 29 with the opening T20I at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. The next two matches will take place at the same venue on January 31 and February 1.
Later, both teams will participate in T20 World Cup 2026, which will commence on February 7 in India and Sri Lanka. Australia have also announced their provisional squad for the ICC tournament. However, with January 31 being deadline to submit the final 15-member squad to the International Cricket Council (ICC), some changes are expected to happen. On the other hand, Pakistan are yet to submit their squad to the ICC.
Pat Cummins, four others rested as Australia announce squad for T20I series against Pakistan

Cricket Australia (CA) on Monday (January 19) revealed a 17-member squad for the three-match T20I series against Pakistan. Interestingly, the Men in Yellow have rested five crucial members for the series in Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood, Glenn Maxwell, Tim David and Nathan Ellis.
Selectors have rested them with an aim to manage their workload ahead of T20 World Cup and they do not want to take any injury risks with them. Mahli Beardman, Ben Dwarshuis and Jack Edwards have been inducted into the squad to fill vacant spots. Mitchell Marsh will captain the side in the campaign.
Speaking to the Australian Associated Press, CA’s chairman of selectors George Bailey said, “The series is a great opportunity for those on the brink of selection and some young players we rate highly for valuable experience.”
“Some are already experienced international players, along with Mahli Beardman who has been with the group a number of times, and Jack Edwards who joined for the last one-day match against India in Sydney last year,” he further added.
