Mitchell Owen to make debut as Australia announce playing XI for 1st T20I against West Indies

The first T20I between Australia and the West Indies will take place on July 20 at Sabina Park, Kingston.
The Australian Cricket Team have announced their playing XI for the first T20I against the West Indies Cricket Team. The opening game of the five-match series between both sides will take place on July 20 at Sabina Park, Kingston, Jamaica.
The first two games of the T20I series will be played at Sabina Park, Kingston, Jamaica. The last three matches will be played at Warner Park, Basseterre, St Kitts. The fifth T20I match will take place on July 28 and conclude Australia’s tour of the West Indies 2025.

The visitors have revealed their playing XI for the first T20I. Mitchell Owen is set to make his international debut in the encounter. Mitchell Marsh is the captain of Australia in the T20I series.

Meanwhile, Australia recently won the test series against the West Indies 3-0. The visitors won the first test by 159 runs, the second test by 133 runs, and the third test by 176 runs to complete a whitewash in the series.
Now, they will aim for a victory in the T20I series while the hosts will look for a comeback. Shai Hope is the skipper of the West Indies in the T20I series. Notably, West Indies all-rounder Andre Russell will play his second-last match in the opening match against Australia. He is set to retire from international cricket after the first two games.
