Top 5 Australian batters with most hundreds in a single Ashes series

Only one Australian batsman has hit four centuries in a single edition of The Ashes.

The Ashes is one of the most thrilling rivalries in test cricket, which is played between England and Australia. This rivalry is more than a century old with first series being played in 1882, when two teams locked horns in a three-match campaign in Australia.

Over the years, many Australian batters have grabbed the spotlight in The Ashes with their batting heroics. If we look at most centuries in a single Ashes series, a few batsmen have reached the three-figure mark on four occasions.

However, only one Australian batter has scored four tons in an Ashes campaign, while many others have hit three centuries. On that note, below are the top five Australian batters with the most centuries in The Ashes.

He began the campaign with a match-winning ton in the first test in Perth, and followed it up with two more in the fourth test in Melbourne and the fifth test in Sydney. With three tons, Head also became the 9th Australian opener to smash three tons in an Ashes series.
