The first ODI between Australia and India to be played on October 19.
Australia and India will clash in the first of the three ODIs, which will be played at the Optus Stadium in Perth on October 19, 2025. The rest of the two ODIs will be played in Adelaide on October 23 and in Sydney on October 25, respectively.
Australia had announced its ODI and T20I squads for the India series, and it had some of the best names included. Only Pat Cummins missed out on both squads as he is rehabbing from a back injury.
However, injuries and personal issues have led to Australia making three forced changes to their ODI squad. Two of the players will not play in the first ODI in Perth, and one player has been ruled out of the entire three-match series.
Alex Carey, Adam Zampa and Josh Inglis to miss first ODI in Perth; Cameron Green ruled out of the entire series

Adam Zampa, leg-spinner, and Josh Inglis, wicketkeeper-batter, will miss the first ODI against India in Perth on October 19. They were replaced by Matthew Kuhnemann and Josh Philippe. Also, Alex Carey will return for the last two games of the three-match series.
The Australian cricket Team also suffered a major setback ahead of their ODI series against the India Cricket Team, as all-rounder Cameron Green has been ruled out due to injury. According to Cricket Australia (CA), Green felt soreness in his side during a practice session before the first ODI.
The 26-year-old will have a short rehabilitation period before preparing for the Ashes in 2025-26. The highly anticipated test series is slated to begin on November 21.
Marnus Labuschagne, who was initially dropped from the ODI squad, has replaced Cameron Green in the squad. Labuschagne’s outstanding performance on the local circuit earned him a call-up. The 31-year-old batsman has amassed four hundreds for Queensland in domestic cricket since September, including two in List A and first-class matches.
Labuschagne will travel to Perth to join the Australia ODI team after Queensland’s Sheffield Shield 2025–26 match in Adelaide.
