Ayush Badoni and Priyansh Arya get BIG opportunities; named in India squad for...

Ayush Badoni and Priyansh Arya are two of the finest young players going in Indian domestic cricket.

Ayush Badoni and Priyansh Arya has been handed an opportunity to show his talent on a bigger stage after being selected for India A’s warm-up matches ahead of the T20 World Cup 2026.

Badoni along with his Delhi team-mate Priyansh Arya will feature in practice fixtures against the United States and Namibia. India A will play two warmup games in the tournament, while the main Indian side will play one match.

According to Gaurav Gupta of the Times of India , both Badoni and Arya have been released from Delhi’s Ranji Trophy squad to join the India A set-up. They were set to feature for their state team in the clash against Mumbai, but will now miss the clash.

Badoni, who captains Delhi, not being in the squad means that Ayush Doseja will now lead the state side in an important Ranji match against Mumbai which will start on January 29 at BKC Stadium in Mumbai.

The India A games will carry a great significance for both youngsters as they might be in reckoning for T20 World Cup 2026 if any injury happens. India A’s first warmup game will be against USA on 2 February in Navi Mumbai, before they take on Namibia in Bengaluru on 6 February.

The senior India side will face one warm up match. They will face South Africa on 4 February at Mumbai’s DY Patil Stadium in what will be a repeat of last T20 World Cup final. India recently beat the Proteas 3-1 in a bilateral series on home soil.

Interestingly, several top-ranked nations have bypassed warm-up fixtures altogether. Australia, England and New Zealand are all preparing through bilateral series rather than practice matches in the host countries.
