Pakistan Cricket Team has been going through a horrendous time in their ongoing tour of England. They have lost both Test matches and have also lost the series. Pakistan have been poor with the bat in both games.
They have failed to even touch the 200-run mark in four innings. The visitors lost the second Test by 194 runs. As usual, the defeat brought immense criticism on the team. Former cricketers, analysts and fans lashed out at the team on the poor outings.
It forced the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to make massive changes to their squads and coaching setups. A total of seven players, including Salman Agha, Mohammad Rizwan and Imam-ul-Haq, were sent back home. Coach Sarfaraz Khan was sacked, and the white-ball head coach Mike Hesson has joined the team to take over.
The third and final Test between England and Pakistan will start on September 9 (Wednesday) at Edgbaston in Birmingham. But ahead of the series, the visitors have suffered a massive scare on the availability of captain Babar Azam.

As reported by GEO News, captain Babar Azam has suffered a high fever ahead of the third and final Test at Edgbaston. Babar missed the first test in Leeds due to injury. He returned to the second test at Lord’s Cricket Ground.
Though it didn’t change much, Pakistan suffered another poor defeat in the second game. Individually, Babar also looked below-par and recorded 8 and 6 with the bat in the game. His poor performance and Pakistan’s defeat draw a lot of criticism from him and the team.
Now, Babar is reportedly suffering from fever. Pakistan’s media manager, Naveed Akram Cheema, also informed about it when asked. He confirmed that Babar conveyed information about it, but there is no need to panic.
Babar’s fitness has become a talking point for the fans. The captain was rushed for the second Test, where he himself claimed that he was 90 percent fit. According to the report, the doctors have asked Babar to take a bed rest for a couple of days to regain his full fitness.
He is under supervision of the medical team, who are having a close look at him. He has been advised to avoid excess gym and outdoor practice as of now. He is expected to get fit within the time frame for the final test. However, the management has kept Salman Agha as a stand-in option and asked him to stay.
