Bangladesh cricket team are one of the rising nations in international cricket. The Asian side has produced some talented cricketers since their debut in 1986. Bangladesh made their ODI debut in the year 1986, their test debut in 2000 and their T20I debut in 2006.
Bangladesh were earlier called the minnows, but in the last decade or so, they’ve improved a lot and challenged top sides across formats. And, one of the reasons behind that is their batsmen scoring runs in bulk. So far only four Bangladesh batsmen have scored over 10,000 runs in international cricket and only two of them have amassed over 15,000 runs across formats.

5. Liton Das – 7184 runs
Liton Das made his international debut for his nation in 2015. Since then, Liton has been performing consistently for the Bangladesh cricket team.
The right-handed batter is the fifth highest run-getter for his nation in international cricket. Liton has scored 7184 runs in 224 matches at an average of 29.93 across formats. He has hit nine centuries and 40 half-centuries, with his best being 176, which came in an ODI against Zimbabwe.
4. Mahmudullah – 10694 runs
Experienced all-rounder Mahmudullah is the fourth highest leading run-scorer for Bangladesh in international cricket. The veteran has amassed 10694 runs in 420 matches at an average of 31.54, including nine centuries and 52 half-centuries in his international career.
He was the first Bangladeshi batsman to hit a hundred in ODI World Cups for his nation.
3. Shakib Al Hasan – 14721 runs
If not the greatest, Shakib Al Hasan is one of the greatest to play for Bangladesh in international cricket. The veteran all-rounder is their third-highest leading run-getter in international cricket.
Since making his debut in 2006, Shakib has played 446 international games for Bangladesh and has slammed 14721 runs at an average of 33.97. He has also hit 14 hundreds and a ton of half-centuries so far. He is also the nation’s highest wicket-taker in international cricket.
2. Tamim Iqbal – 15192 runs
Tamim Iqbal is recognized as one of the finest openers to represent Bangladesh in international cricket. The left-hander made his debut in 2007 and played till 2023.
He played 387 international matches during his career and smashed 15192 runs at an average of 35.41, which includes 25 hundreds and 94 half-centuries as well.
1. Mushfiqur Rahim – 15205 runs
Veteran wicket-keeper batter Mushfiqur Rahim is the leading run-scorer for his country in international cricket. The right-handed batter Rahim has scored 15205 runs in 464 international matches till now. Rahim has a decent average of 34.47. He has hit 20 centuries and 82 half centuries so far.
