5. Shadabat Hossain – 4
Former Bangladesh speedster Shadabat Hossain made his test debut against England in 2005. Hossain played his last test match against Pakistan in Mirpur in 2015.
In his 10-long test career, Shadabat Hossain scalped 72 wickets in 38 matches at an average of 51.81. The speedster took four 5-wicket hauls.
4. Mohammad Rafique – 7
Mohammad Rafique was part of Bangladesh’s first ever test match against India in 2000. Rafique was a slow-left arm spinner and was very economical.
In 33 tests, Rafique took 100 wickets at an average of 40.76, including seven 5-five wicket hauls.
With the bat, Rafique chipped in with 1059 runs, including four half-centuries and one hundred. He played his last test match against South Africa in Chattogram in 2008.
3. Mehidy Hasan Miraz – 10
Mehidy Hasan Miraz is one of the most talented and skilled all-rounders in Bangladesh cricket. Talking about test cricket, Miraz made his debut against England in Chattogram in 2016.
Since then, Mehidy has played 47 matches till now. With ball, the all-rounder has scalped 183 wickets, including 10 five-wicket hauls.
Miraz has also notched up 1689 runs at a decent average of 22.52, including eight half-centuries and one century.
2. Taijul Islam – 14
Taijul Islam is one of the finest left-arm spinners in Bangladesh cricket history. He made his test debut against the West Indies in 2014.
Since then, Islam has been one of the backbones of Bangladesh’s spin-bowling attack in the longest format. The left-arm spinner has bagged 209 wickets in 49 games, including 14 five-wicket hauls.
1. Shakib Al Hasan – 19
Legendary all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has picked the most five-wicket hauls for his nation in test cricket. Shakib is also the highest wicket-taker for Bangladesh in the longest format of the game. The great all-rounder scalped 246 wickets in 71 matches, including 19 five-wicket hauls.
With the bat, Shakib amassed 4609 runs at a decent average of 37.77. The left-handed batter scored five centuries and 31 half-centuries.
