Bangladesh will lock horns with India on Friday in the Super Four round of the Asia Cup 2023.

The ongoing Asia Cup 2023 hasn't been a happy hunting season for Bangladesh, as they became the first team to be eliminated from the competition. They have only won one game out of four matches played in this tournament. Bangladesh have lost to Pakistan and Sri Lanka in the super four, and now they will face India.

It will be the sixth game of the super four, which will take place on September 15 (Friday). This match will be played at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. With nothing much left to lose, Bangladesh will look to end the tournament on a high and register a win against the Indians. Though it won't be easy, you never know. Here, we will talk about the predicted playing XI for Bangladesh against India.

IND vs BAN: Bangladesh's Predicted Playing XI vs India

1. Mohammad Naim :

Bangladeshi opener Mohammad Naim hasn't been at his best so far, but he has gotten a few starts. The left-hander has scored 85 runs at an average of 21.25. But he is a free-flowing batter and has performed well against India in the past. Naim will look to break the pressure and give his team a good start.

2. Mehidy Hasan Miraz :

Mehidy Hasan Miraz has been brilliant at the top. He is one of the highest scorers in the tournament and the second-highest for his team. Miraz is a match-winner; that's what he showed when he smashed 112 not out against Afghanistan. He scored his maiden ODI century last year against India and can do it once again.

3. Litton Das (Wk):

Litton Das has done well against India whenever he has played. He joined Bangladesh in the super four stage. However, his team will hope he does what he is best at. Litton will be the key at the top because India will not like it if he gets away. He is an attacking batter who loves taking on the opposition.

4. Shakib Al Hasan (c) :

Shakib Al Hasan doesn't need any introduction, he is probably the biggest player in Bangladeshi camp. The captain will have a lot on his shoulders and will look to end the tournament with a win. He has done well against India in the past, and he can be the biggest threat for Rohit and company.

5. Towhid Hridoy :

Towhid Hridoy is another talented youngster on the team who can play a long innings if he gets set. He has scored 104 runs in four innings at an average of 26 so far, with a best of 82. Hridoy can be a surprise package, as India have never seen him, and it has always been a trend in India that newcomers always trouble them.

6. Afif Hossain :

Mushfiqur Rahim has flown back home for the birth of his child and will not play against India. Thus, Afif Hossain might be replacing him on the team. He has already played two games so far but hasn't gotten going. But he has done a good job for Bangladesh at No. 6. Afif has played 30 ODIs and scored 562 runs at an average of 28.18.

7. Shamim Hossain :

Shamim Hossain is another talented all-rounder who has under-performed so far. He has played three games, but his numbers are not good. Shamim has the skills to do well with both the bat and the ball, as he has done well in the shorter format. But ODIs haven't been his forte so far. But he can be dangerous as a finisher and can bowl some useful overs in the middle.

8. Taskin Ahmed :

Taskin Ahmed has been excellent for Bangladesh, but it is unfortunate that his team is eliminated. The ace pacer is the joint-highest wicket-taker in Asia Cup 2023, with nine wickets in four games at an average of 19.11. He has been phenomenal in every game, picking up wickets. If he can remove one of two from India's top-order, Bangladesh will have the upper-hand.

9. Shoriful Islam :

Just like Taskin, Shoriful Islam has also been brilliant this tournament. The left-arm pacer has taken seven wickets in four innings at an average and economy rate of 18.71 and 4.51, respectively. India have struggled against quality left-arm pacers, and Shoriful is surely one of them. So he will look to continue the same trend and pick up some Indian wickets up front.

10. Hasan Mahmud :

Hasan Mahmud is another good pacer who has done well since his debut. He has played 16 ODIs and taken 24 wickets, four of which came in this tournament. The 23-years-old did well against Sri Lanka in the last game and took three wickets. He can be nippy at times and can trouble the batter with his height.

11. Nasum Ahmed :

Despite a loss in the last game against Sri Lanka, Bangladesh had one positive, and that was the performance of Nasum Ahmed. He bowled ten overs for just 31 runs. India have always struggled against left-arm spinners as well, and he has all those skills to restrict the Indian batters.
