2. Virat Kohli – 153 runs

Former Indian captain Virat Kohli has scored 153 runs across two T20 World Cup finals. The right-handed batsman scored 77 runs in the T20 WC 2014 final against Sri Lanka in a losing cause. In the 2024 edition, he hammered a match-winning 76 runs against South Africa to win the Player of the Match award.

Former West Indies opener Marlon Samuels tops this list with 163 runs. Smacking 78 and 85* runs in the finals of the 2012 and 2016 editions, respectively, the right-handed batsman played a pivotal role in the West Indies’ victory in both these editions.
He was also adjudged Player of the Match in both these crucial encounters, where West Indies scripted history. With Samuels’ batting heroics, West Indies became the first nation to win the T20 World Cup twice.
