There is plenty of exceptional talent in international cricket right now. There are some incredible batters who have dominated the cricket world. But some names come to mind when we talk about the best of the best. David Warner announced his retirement from international cricket recently and retired with 49 international hundreds. Everyone knows that even after retiring 11 years back, Sachin Tendulkar still holds the record for most hundreds in international cricket (100). 5. Steve Smith – 44

Steve Smith is probably the best test batter in the last decade or so. After Ricky Ponting and David Warner, he has scored the most centuries for Australia in international cricket. Smith has an incredible record in tests, and his white-ball career is also pretty good. The veteran batter has been active since 2010 and has scored 44 centuries (32 Tests and 12 ODIs) in international cricket for Australia in 334 matches across formats so far.

4. Kane Williamson – 45

Kane Williamson is one of the best modern-day batters in the world, but certainly the best New Zealand have ever produced. Williamson has been scoring runs across all three formats. He has been active in international cricket since 2010 and is very close to becoming the leading scorer in New Zealand’s cricket history. Williamsom has so far scored 45 international centuries in 358 matches across formats, which includes 32 in tests and 13 in ODIs.

3. Rohit Sharma – 48

The Indian captain Rohit Sharma hasn’t played as many tests as the “Fab Four” players, but he is still on this list, which is remarkable. It is mainly because of his white-ball dominance. Rohit has the third-most centuries for India in international cricket. He has played 483 matches across formats and has 48 centuries, which includes 31 in ODIs (Third-most), 12 in tests, and 5 in T20Is (joint-most).

2 Joe Root – 50

Former English test captain Joe Root has second-most centuries in international cricket amongst the active cricketers. He is certainly a legend in English cricket, having scored the most runs and most centuries for them across formats. Root has most test centuries (34) among the active cricketers. Overall, he has 50 centuries in 348 matches in international cricket across three formats.

1. Virat Kohli – 80

Virat Kohli is a century-making machine, and despite a dip in form for three years, he is way ahead of his competitors. The former Indian captain has more ODI centuries than international centuries scored by all other players in the list.

Virat is overall second on the all-time list of batters with most international centuries after Sachin Tendulkar (100). Though reaching Sachin’s milestone is still a long way, he has 80 international centuries so far in 530 matches. He has scored 50 hundreds in ODIs, 29 in tests, and one in T20Is.
