Top 5 batsmen with most sixes in WPL history

The WPL has seen some of the big power-hitters who have taken the league by storm with their six-hitting ability.

The Women’s Premier League (WPL) has not been just about runs piling up, but about how they are made. From fearless openers to calm finishers, the WPL has seen batters turn stadiums into theatres of power. Looking at the leading run-scorers in WPL history, it is no surprise that many of them are also responsible for some of the league’s most memorable sixes.

These six hitters collectively make the point that while hitting a six in the WPL is about power, it is more about the intention and awareness of the players. This is what makes the league so unique.

Sixes often attract a lot of fans, and when hit big, the stadium roars in cheers. As the WPL 2026 is underway, we take a look at batsmen with the most sixes in WPL history

Batsmen with the most sixes in WPL

 5. Ellyse Perry – Royal Challengers Bengaluru (25 sixes)

Australian legend Ellyse Perry is a very consistent batter herself and an even bigger power threat in terms of sixes, with 25 sixes to her name in WPL history.

She understands both the timeless tradition of Australian batters to score runs with authority and the modern approach of batters to accelerate the run rate through the middle overs. She is very effective in the middle overs with her application and power.

4. Harmanpreet Kaur — Mumbai Indians (26 sixes)

Sixes hit by Harmanpreet Kaur have power behind them. Harmanpreet is accustomed to leading her team and senior teammates.

The reason behind this is that she has a strong lower hand, which allows her to hit the ball towards the maximum boundary. She has hit 26 sixes in the league, and her six-striking ability can turn the game around within a couple of overs.

3. Ashleigh Gardner (Gujarat Giants) – 29 Sixes

Ashleigh Gardner has the best of both worlds to offer in the WPL. With 29 sixes under her name, the Aussie all-rounder has been an integral force for the Gujarat Giants to hit big shots on the ground regularly.

Gardner has the knack of scoring sixes off spinners by generating powerful momentum from her feet to dispatch the long sixes on the ground easily. The sixes are mostly hit at crucial times to end an impressive partnership between two batters or to accelerate the scoring rate of the innings at times.

2. Richa Ghosh (Royal Challengers Bengaluru) – 30 sixes

Richa Ghosh’s six-hitting is a tale of a finisher who performs under pressure. Richa is one of the most consistent power-hitters in the middle and death overs, with 30 sixes to her name in WPL. Richa’s clean hitting and her ability to finish off matches against the best bowlers separate her from others.

Richa’s hitting is not of the irresponsible type; her hitting is of the kind that changes the results of matches in her favour. In the case of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Richa is the difference between a competitive and a winning team.

 1. Shafali Verma — Delhi Capitals (49 sixes)

Shafali Verma is leagues above the rest regarding six-hitting in the WPL. With a total of 49 sixes, she is the leading six-hitter in the history of the league. Shafali is a very aggressive player who likes to accelerate from the very first ball.

This is due to her incredible power and exceptional hand-eye coordination, which gives her dominance over the bowlers. Despite being one of the leading run-scorers in the league, she is unparalleled in her capability to smash sixes.
