5. Charlotte Edwards (ENG-W) – 768 runs
Charlotte Edwards is one of the greatest batters in women’s cricket, having finished her international career with over 10000 runs.
The former England batter made her WT20I debut in 2004 and played her last match in 2016. Talking about the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, Edwards is the only English women cricketer to feature in this elite list.
Charlotte played 24 Women’s T20 World Cup matches and amassed 768 runs at a healthy average of 36.57, and notched up five half-centuries.
4. Stafanie Taylor (WI-W) – 926 runs
Stafanie Taylor is the highest run-scorer for West Indies in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup history. In this competition, Taylor played 31 matches and scored 926 runs at an average of 37.04.
The top-order batter has notched up six half-centuries in the Women’s T20 World Cup.
3. Alyssa Healy (AUS-W) – 941 runs
Alyssa Healy is one of the greatest wicket-keeper batters in women’s cricket. The Australian legend is one of the main pillars of her team and has produced many match-winning knocks, including in the World Cup finals.
Healy is the third-highest run-getter in the Women’s T20 World Cup history. The wicket-keeper batter has made 941 runs in 39 matches at an average of 28.51, with seven half-centuries.
2. Meg Lanning (AUS-W) – 992 runs
Meg Lanning is the most successful captain in the women’s cricket history. The legendary Australian cricketer, during her career, won five ICC Women’s T20 World Cup titles as a skipper.
Lanning is also the second-highest run-scorer in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup till now with 992 runs in 35 outings at an impressive average of 39.68. The former Australia captain slammed four half-centuries in this competition.
1. Suzie Bates (NZ-W) – 1066 runs
Legendary New Zealand women’s cricketer Suzie Bates is the only batter so far to score over 1000 runs in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup history.
In the Women’s T20 World Cups, Bates has played 36 matches and amassed 1066 runs at an average of 32.30, while smashing eight half-centuries.
