The Indian women’s cricket team‘s best finish in an ICC Women’s T20 World Cup was in the 2020 edition when they finished as the runners-up. The Women in Blue reached the semi-finals of the 2023 edition. India will enter the upcoming ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 with a lot of hopes and expectations once again.
The Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 will be played in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from October 3 to October 20.
Talking about the Indian side, veteran batter Harmanpreet Kaur will continue to lead them. Opener Smriti Mandhana will be the vice-captain of the side.
So far, the Indian cricket team have played 36 matches in the Women’s T20 World Cup. They won 20 games and suffered defeats in 16 matches.

The Indian women’s team will play their opening group stage match against New Zealand on October 4 before they take on arch-rivals Pakistan on October 6. On October 9, India will play Sri Lanka. Their last group stage game is against defending champions Australia on October 13.

The Indian cricket team’s first three group stage matches will be played at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai. Their last group-round match will be hosted at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium in Sharjah.
