India schedule for ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2024 - Timings, dates, venues and all you need to know

India will take on New Zealand to kick off their ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 campaign in Dubai.
The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 will get underway on October 3 in Sharjah with Bangladesh taking on Scotland. This is the second women’s T20 World Cup in consecutive years. Australia are the defending champions, having won the competition last year by defeating hosts South Africa in the final in Cape Town.
The tournament will be played in Dubai and Sharjah from October 3 to 20. Initially, the competition was slated to be played in Bangladesh, but it was moved to the UAE due to the countrywide anti-government protests. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), though, will retain the hosting rights of the tournament.
Harmanpreet Kaur-led Indian team is one of the strong contenders to win the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024. India reached the semi-finals of the previous edition, where they were knocked out by Australia.
This is a 10-team tournament and a total of 23 matches will be played. There are two groups of five teams each. All teams will play four group games. The top two teams from each group will proceed to the semi-finals.
India are placed in Group A, which includes defending champions Australia.

India schedule for ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024:
India will start their campaign against New Zealand in Dubai on October 4. They will take on arch-rivals Pakistan on October 6 in Dubai, where they will also play Sri Lanka, the Asia Cup champions. India’s last group game is against Australia on October 13 in Sharjah.
The India vs Pakistan clash is an afternoon game and the rest of India’s matches are evening matches.
