BBL 15: List of all award winners after final between SCO vs SIX

Perth Scorchers defeated Sydney Sixers in the BBL 15 final by 6 wickets.

The Big Bash League (BBL) 15 concluded on January 25 (Sunday) with a low-scoring final. A total of eight teams locked horns in 44 games during BBL 15, entertaining fans with thrilling encounters for over a month.

After the completion of the league stage, Perth Scorchers and Sydney Sixers captured the top two slots in the points table with 14 and 13 points respectively. While Scorchers won seven games and lost three clashes out of 10, Sixers won six games and lost three (1 no result).

Hobart Hurricanes and Melbourne Stars were the other two teams that qualified for the playoffs, clinching the third and fourth spots with 13 and 12 points respectively. Both of them won six matches out of 10 clashes.

Perth Scorchers crushed Sixers in Qualifier 1 to become the first team to book a berth in the BBL 2025-26 final. Winning the Knockout, Hobart Hurricanes inched one step closer to the final but were eliminated after losing the Challenger clash against Sydney Sixers. As a result, Perth Scorchers and Sydney Sixers made it to the summit clash.

Perth Scorchers beat Sydney Sixers in BBL 2025-26 final

The final was a one-sided affair, where Scorchers once again outplayed Sixers. Opting to bowl, the Scorchers bowled out the opposition for just 132 runs. Steve Smith, Josh Phillippe, and Moises Henriques scored 24 runs each as none of their batters could hit a fifty.

With an 80-run stand between openers Mitchell Marsh (44) and Finn Allen (36), Perth Scorchers dominated the chase from the start. In the end, they reached the target in 17.3 overs, winning the encounter by six wickets.

Josh Inglis finished the match in a style, hitting a stunning six to take the team home. David Payne, who clinched a three-wicket haul, was awarded Player of the Match. Notably, Perth Scorchers won their record sixth title in the BBL and justified their tag as the most successful team in the tournament’s history.
