Melbourne Stars defeated Melbourne Renegades at Melbourne Cricket Stadium in 23rd match of the BBL 2023-24.

All-rounder Glenn Maxwell’s stellar run continues as he wins yet another match for his side. Maxwell has been running high in confidence from the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 and continues to shine in Big Bash League 2023-24. Maxwell with his 15-ball cameo won an important encounter for Melbourne Stars against Melbourne Renegades in a Melbourne derby game played at MCG. Maxwell scored 32 runs in 15 balls which included 2 fours and 3 sixes.

It was a rain affected game and the match was reduced to 14 overs, Melbourne Renegades were invited to bat first.
