Hobart Hurricanes defeated Melbourne Renegades comprehensively in the 26th league match of BBL 2023-24. Hurricanes won the game by 6 wickets as Sam Hain (51) and Corey Anderson (41*) added a match-winning partnership of 84 runs for the fourth wicket. Renegades got off to a great start with the ball and got three Hurricanes wickets early in the powerplay. This was Hurricanes third victory of the season

Sam Hain and Corey Anderson took charge of Hobart’s innings after early blows and comfortably took them close to the target. Melbourne Renegades couldn’t get the desired start as Tim David dismissed Shaun Marsh early in the first over. David bowled a wicket-maiden in the very first over and Renegades failed to put up big partnerships in their innings. Jordan Cox was the top-scorer for Melbourne Renegades as he went on to score 47 runs in 36 balls.
