BBL 2023-24: Points table, most runs, most wickets after match 11 SIX vs STR
Sydney Sixers defeated Adelaide Strikers by 1 run in the 11th match of the BBL 2023-24.
It was a nail-biting finish at Sydney Cricket Ground between Sydney Sixers and Adelaide Strikers in the 11th league match of the Big Bash League 2023-24. Sydney Sixers have defeated Adelaide Strikers by a close margin of just one run. Jamie Overton (31*) needed to score 4 runs in the final ball but he fell short by a few meters over the cover and could only fetch two from the final delivery of the game.
Sydney Sixers posted 155 runs on the board after a magnificent innings from their skipper Moises Henriques (66). He took his team out of crisis and helped Sydney post a challenging total. Adelaide had a troubled start but soon skipper Mathew Short (55) and Chris Lynn (37) took charge of the chase but couldn’t take the Strikers home. Jamie Overton also played a fighting knock but fell short by just 1 run.
