India and Bangladesh will clash in three ODIs and an equal number of T20Is in September 2026.

India and Bangladesh will lock horns in an ODI and T20I series in September 2026. On Friday, January 2, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced the schedule for both the home campaigns, which will witness three ODIs and an equal number of T20Is.

India’s tour of Bangladesh 2026 will begin with an ODI series, with the first match scheduled for September 1st. The next two encounters will take place on September 3 and 6.

The three-match T20I series will commence on September 9 with the first clash, followed by two back-to-back games on September 12 and 13. According to the plan, the Indian team will arrive in Bangladesh on August 28.

Notably, a white-ball series between both sides was called off last year. India were scheduled to tour Bangladesh for an ODI and T20I series in August 2025; however, the campaign was called off due to their busy international commitments of both nations.

The three ODI games were scheduled to be played on August 17, 20, and 23, followed by the T20I games on 26, 29, and 31. Mirpur and Chattogram were the two venues scheduled to host the matches. After the cancellation of the campaign, BCB announced that they will host India in September 2026.

Last year, both sides clashed in T20 Asia Cup 2025 in September, where the Men in Blue crushed Bangladesh by 41 runs like a walk in the park in the Super Four round. The latter failed to chase a 169-run target set by the Suryakumar Yadav & Co, getting bowled out for just 127 runs. It was the last clash between the two teams in international cricket.

Their last ODI game came in ICC Champions Trophy 2025, where India thrashed Bangladesh by six wickets, chasing down a 229-run target with ease. India last toured Bangladesh for an ODI series in December 2022, where the hosts stunned the Men in Blue with a 2-1 victory. With the win, Bangladesh also registered their second-ever ODI series victory against India.
